Former
Super Eagles Coach, Shuaibu Amodu has officially assumed duty as the
technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, as he received
his letter of appointment which has been on hold since the regime of the
 last NFF board.
The letter according to the former Super Eagles coach was dated April 1, 2015.
Amodu
said he hopes to operate from the technical centre, FIFA Goal project,
Abuja where he will be free to interact with other coaches.
The
former Orlando Pirates of South Africa sweat merchant said he was not
after the $5,000 that was initially proposed to him as monthly salary,
but on how to take the game to the next level in the country with his
wealth of experience.
The former BCC Lions coach explained that
he would start work by listening to both the administrators and coaches
at various levels before making any input.
He added that the gap
between the foreign-based players and their home-based counterparts is
not much but added that the national team requires a few overseas- based
 ones to prosecute matches.
