The
National Industrial Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Monday,
fixed October 6 for hearing into applications filed by the 23 local
government chairmen in Rivers State against the state governor, Nyeson
Wike, over their removal.
The legal battle had shifted to
the National Industrial Court in a suit with number NICN/YEN/26/2015 and
with the court granting a restraining order asking the state House of
Assembly and the governor not to dissolve the local government
administration.
