Manchester United have revived interest in Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.
The
Spanish side have little wish to sell but much will depend on this
weekend's crucial game with relegation-threatened Almeria.
Valencia
need to win to secure their Champions League qualifying berth and the
chance of much-needed revenue. Should they fail and Sevilla pip them
then they will be under pressure to sell one of their big names.
Otamendi
was a target for United while at Porto and has excelled this season for
Valencia. The Argentine is a combative character with a no-nonsense
style and has established himself as a firm fans favourite.
His buy-out clause is set at £36million and Valencia would insist on that fee.
