Christian Youth Leaders call for peaceful co-existence

The National Christian Youth Leaders made up of past presidents and secretaries, zonal and state chairmen of the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria have stressed the need for a peaceful co-existence of all Nigerians.

Addressing a news conference in Abuja at the end of its extra-ordinary meeting, the chairman of the youth group, Mr Onyeka Ofurum advised President Buhari to reflect the secular nature of the nation in his appointments.

The group also criticized the attempt by the federal government to introduce Islamic criminal justice system in the nation’s constitution and the plan to scrap Christian Religious Education in Nigerian schools.
