The Edo State Government has declared five days of mourning for the late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa.
Governor Adams Oshiomhole announced this on Tuesday during the State Executive Council meeting in Benin.
Oshiomhole also directed that the nation`s green-white-green flag should be flown at half mast in the state within the period of mourning.
The death of Oba Erediauwa was officially made public on Friday, April 29, by the Oba’s palace in Benin.
Oshiomhole later paid a condolence visit on the Crown Prince, Iheneden, on Monday.
