Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko
Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Thursday urged Nigerians to ‎invest in subsistence agriculture, which is the beginning of the diversification of the economy from the petroleum sector which has witnessed recession in recent times.

Governor Mimiko was speaking during the cross over night service at the Christ Apostolic Church, Mount of Victory, Akure, the state capital.

In his message of hope to the people of the state and the nation in general, Governor Mimiko prayed that God will see us through the economic challenges, just as he did during the 2015 general elections.

He prayed that the nation will prosper in 2016 in spite of the economic challenges and urged all Nigerians to renew their commitment to obeying God.

In his sermon, the Superintendent of the CAC Irowo District, Akure, Pastor Jeremiah Agene, urged the congregation to be closer to God not only be attending church services but also with their hearts.
