Army arrests suspected Boko Haram members in Lagos and Ogun

Some suspected Boko Haram members have been arrested by men of the Nigerian Army in Ogun and Lagos states.

Some of the suspected members of the dreaded group were said to have been arrested in Sango Ota in Ogun State while some fleeing members were later arrested in Lagos State.

According to the General Officer Commanding 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Isidore Edet, soldiers, on Saturday, invaded Araromi area of Sango Ota in Ogun State where the suspected members of the group were reportedly hiding.

A resident of the area who identified himself as Lateef, while speaking with Tribune, confirmed the development.
"Yes it is true that they arrested some suspected Boko Haram people here. We don t know if they are confirmed Boko Haram members but they were arrested by soldiers and they were all taken away. We don’t know them in this community," he said.
The arrest of the suspects created panic among residents of the Ogun State community.
