Sambo Dasuki
The lawyer to the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has appealed to the Nigerian government to allow the rule of law prevail in his trial.

Speaking to Channels TV in Abuja on the re-arrest of his client by officials of the Department of State Service shortly after he was released from Kuje Prisons, Dasuki’s lawyer, Mr Ahmed Raji, said his client deserved to enjoy the bail granted him by different courts.

Colonel Dasuki, who pleaded not guilty to a one-count charge of alleged illegal possession of firearms preferred against him by the Federal Government, had earlier been granted bail by a Federal High Court to enable him seek medical attention abroad.

He was also granted bail by an Abuja High Court in another suit of criminal diversion of funds amounting to 2.1 billion dollars preferred against him by the Federal Government.
