The Belgian international striker completed a two-part medical in London earlier this week before travelling to Anfield to put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
Benteke becomes Liverpool’s seventh signing of the close season as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to rebuild his squad following a disappointing campaign which saw the Reds miss out on Champions League qualification.
According to reports, Liverpool will pay £16m up front, with the remainder of the £32.5m fee to be paid over the course of his contract.
Benteke scored 12 goals in 12 games at the end of last season to help Villa avoid relegation from the Premier League.
