Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in talks with Besiktas

Chelsea’s goalkeeper Petr Cech has opened talks with the Turkish club Besiktas over a summer move, according to his agent.

Cech has spent the season as second choice to Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge and has made only five Premier League starts in Chelsea’s title triumph.

The 32-year-old wants first-team football after 10 seasons as a Chelsea regular and Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are possible destinations for the Czech Republic international. But Besiktas also appear to be in the running.

“I have been in contact with Besiktas – we are in talks,” Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar told the Turkish publication Fanatik. “Turkey is a choice for Cech but we will decide when the league is over.”
Chelsea’s manager, José Mourinho, wants Cech to stay at Stamford Bridge and does not want him to join a Premier League rival.
