Diego
Costa will undergo scans on his damaged hamstring before a decision is
made regarding his involvement in Spain’s upcoming internationals
against Ukraine and Holland.
Costa was withdrawn during the second half of Chelsea’s 3-2 win at Hull on Sunday after suffering a hamstring injury.
He
is due to undergo tests in London on Monday and the Spanish medical
team will then assess whether he can remain in the squad for the
upcoming internationals.
“Costa will undergo tests on Monday in
London and the results will be available to Spain’s medical staff for
their evaluation,” the Spanish federation (RFEF) said in a statement.
The
Spain international has been plagued by muscular problems since his
move to Stamford Bridge, while he missed the games against Belarus and
Germany in November because of a hamstring problem.
