The 21-year-old Londoner has scored 19 goals in 30 games since starting what was intended to be a season-long loan with League One side MK Dons.
But he has signed a three-and-a-half year contract to step up a level into the Championship with Wolves.
Afobe, who has twice featured for England Under-21s, joins Wolves after his most prolific spell in senior football.
