Federal Executive Council approves N1.2billion for FCT Sewage Project

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved N1.2bn for the construction of sewage facilities to connect Guzape District (Lots 1 and 2) to the trunk mains (Stage I -connection of Guzape Lot 1) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Though the district was not initially considered to be part of the Abuja City Master Plan, it had to be developed as a result of the expansion of the territory.


Briefing State House correspondents after the weekly FEC meeting, Ministers of the FCT, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and his Information counterpart, Nurudeen Mohammed said the project was embarked upon to avoid abuse, as well as putting a stop to uncoordinated development around the fringes of the city.
