25-year-old man arrested for raping 8-year-old girl

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi State Police Command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, has said that the command arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl.

Mohammed gave the name of the suspect as Auwalu Abdullahi, a resident of Tilden Fulani in the Toro Local Government Area of the state.


The police spokesman said the suspect was arrested by policemen from the Toro division on January 4, 2015.

He said, “The suspect lured an eight-year old girl, who happened to be the daughter of his neighbor, into an uncompleted building.

“He subsequently had an unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

“Scene of crime was visited and victim rushed to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed. The suspect has been arrested.”
