35-year-old man arrested for raping 13-year-old boy

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man, Ilesanmi Omojuyigbe, for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old boy in Iju Ita Ogbolu, a town in the Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Wole Ogodo, who confirmed this on Tuesday, in Akure, stated that the man was arrested after a report was made to the police.


According to him, the boy who lives on College Road, reported that the suspect lured him into his room under the pretext that he wanted to buy frozen fish from the boy and then slept with the boy.

The Police spokesman said the suspect had confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court.

Ogodo further said that four persons were arrested in connection with occult activities in Okitipupa town, in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, according to him, are Augustine Belief, 22, Adie Kelly, 22, Ikenna, Ekenna Eze, and Okepeke Ogechukwu 28, all living in Okitipupa town while other members of the group are still at large.

He said, “The police received information in Okitipupa that some persons gathered at Old Garage, Okitipupa, conducting initiatiation into a cult. The patrol team swung into action and arrested the suspects.”
