Luke Shaw is facing up to four weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury, Manchester United have announced.
Shaw completed his move to Old Trafford shortly after returning from England’s disappointing World Cup campaign.
He
was forced to train on his own during the clubs pre-season tour of the
United States after manager Louis van Gaal criticised his fitness.
The England international must now wait to prove himself to the manager as a result of the hamstring injury.
A
tweet from Manchester United’s official Twitter account said: “Luke
Shaw has a hamstring injury and is expected to be out for around four
weeks.”
