Boko Haram invade another Borno village; ...kills monarch and 11 others

Suspected members of the outlawed Boko Haram sect on Wednesday night invaded another Borno village, Garubula village in Biu local government area killing the district head, Alhaji Ibrahim Dawi and 11 others.

A Resident of the area, Mallam Idrisa Garubula who spoke to journalists on phone, said the gunmen stormed the village at about 11:00PM and sporadically shot which made everyone already asleep shivers in bed.



He said when the gunshots stopped the district head was found shot on his forehead and eleven others found dead.

According to him: "The District Head was shot by the gunmen on his head and was however rushed to Biu General Hospital before he gave up the ghost.

"He was buried on Thursday morning according to Islamic rites in Biu, the headquarters of Biu local government area of the state”.
