Cesc Fabregas could be set to leave Barcelona this summer with the Premier League his likely destination.
Rumours
surfaced in Spain on Saturday that the former Arsenal midfielder has
been told by new Barca manager Luis Enrique that he is not part of his
plans for the coming season and is free to leave the club.
Fabregas,
who was named in Spanish national manager Vicente Del Bosque’s 23-man
squad for the World Cup on Saturday, reportedly has a £30m release
clause in his contract.
The news is sure to put all of the
Premier League’s big spenders on high alert, with Manchester United, who
tried to sign him last summer, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea all
sure to be interested in bringing the Spaniard back to England.
