Toni Kroos open to Manchester United move

Toni Kroos would consider joining Manchester United in the summer even if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.

The Bayern Munich midfielder has admitted the Premier League is a serious option for him if he decides to leave the European champions.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a summer move for the German international with some reports suggesting the Premier League outfit have already made the 24-year-old a contract offer.

With United currently sixth in the table, 11 points off the top four, a season without Champions League football is likely, but Kroos has offered hope that he could be prepared to join a club not involved in Europe’s premier competition.

“Much is possible,” Kroos told reporters ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League last-16 second leg tie with Arsenal.

Kroos is contracted to Bayern until the end of the 2014-15 season and has the option of signing a new £6.5 million-a-year deal.

When asked about the reports regarding his future, Kroos added: “I have noticed that a lot has been written about it. There’s nothing new. No decision has been made. There’s no agreement.

“That will stay that way until the summer, then a decision will be made. It’s no secret the Premier League is an interesting league.”
