He
may be the near-namesake of a Brazilian footballing legend, but
Graziano Pelle showed no class after proceeding to kick everything in
sight as his Feyenoord side surrendered a 2-0 lead at FC Twente on
Sunday.
The Italian striker scored in the 2-2 draw in
Holland, but took his anger out on De Grolsch Veste stadium's interior
as the hosts came from behind to secure a point in the 95th minute.
At
the final whistle, and as his team-mates went for the handshakes, Pelle
went straight for the dressing room, first kicking the side panel of
the dug out.
He then lashed out at a door inside the tunnel,
taking a chunk out of it, before kicking a camera stand as some tried to
prevent him doing more damage.
Pelle may face a charge for his
outburst on what was a sour end to what could have been a sweet day for
the 28-year-old, scoring in the 14th minute to put Feyenoord ahead.
The
former Parma and Sampdoria man has never played for Italy, and this
could ruin his chances of World Cup selection despite scoring 18 goals
in 21 Eredivisie games this term.
