Chelsea set to re-sign midfielder Nemanja Matic from Benfica for £25m

Chelsea are close to finalising a £25million deal for Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The 26-year-old Matic, who left Chelsea three years ago as part of the deal that brought David Luiz from Benfica, is expected in London on Tuesday ahead of a medical.

Matic was at the Ballon d'Or gala dinner on Monday night and said: 'I still can't say anything about this, let's see what happens in the future, you have to ask the club and the president.

'If it's good for the club and for me, we'll talk, let's see what happens.'
